Sean Reynolds closed out the Yokohama DeNA BayStars’ 5-3 victory over the Tokyo Yakult Swallows at Yokohama Stadium.
Reynolds took the mound in the top of the ninth inning with the BayStars holding a two-run lead. He struck out the first batter before issuing a walk, but retired the next two hitters without allowing a hit or a run.
The right-hander threw 21 pitches over one scoreless inning to earn his 16th save of the season.
Reynolds lowered his ERA to 1.40.
