NPB Pacific League: Chiba Lotte Marines 2 – 4 Saitama Seibu Lions
Neftali Soto provided a spark off the bench for the Chiba Lotte Marines against the Saitama Seibu Lions at ZOZO Marine Stadium.
Soto entered the game as a pinch hitter with one out and a runner on first in the bottom of the seventh inning. He launched a two-run home run to left-center field, his 17th homer of the season, cutting the Lions’ lead from 4-0 to 4-2.
He remained in the game and finished 1-for-2 with a home run, two RBIs and one run scored.
The Marines, however, were unable to complete the comeback and fell to the Lions 4-2.
