Kyle Muller put on one of the most unbelievable two-way performances of the NPB season for the Chunichi Dragons on September 14th, pitching a 4-hit complete-game shutout while driving in all of his team’s runs at the plate against the Hanshin Tigers. The towering left-hander was unhittable on the mound, needing just 106 pitches across nine scoreless innings to record his first career NPB shutout win and seventh victory of the year (7-7). If that wasn’t enough, Muller destroyed the Tigers with his bat as well—crushing a two-run home run in the 5th inning before delivering a game-clinching two-run double in the 9th. Lowering his season ERA to 2.45, Muller delivered a legendary legendary performance for the Dragons.
