Entering the game in the bottom of the 7th, Ruiz was incredibly efficient, needing only 10 pitches to retire the side in order. He picked up one strikeout and didn’t allow a single baserunner, lowering his ERA to an impressive 1.13. Ruiz has become a vital bridge to the closer, consistently shutting down opponents with his high-velocity stuff and pinpoint accuracy.
