NPB Pacific League Climax Series First Stage: Saitama Seibu Lions 3 – 2 Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters
Alexander Canario delivered a dramatic walk-off home run as the Saitama Seibu Lions defeated the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters 3-2 in 10 innings at Belluna Dome. Batting leadoff, Canario came to the plate with one out and the score tied 2-2 in the bottom of the 10th inning. He launched a solo home run to left field, ending the game and giving the Lions a crucial victory in Game 1 of the Pacific League Climax Series First Stage.
It was Canario’s first home run of the postseason. Canario finished the game 1-for-5 with one home run, one RBI and one run scored.
