Bobby Dalbec put on an absolute clinic for the Yomiuri Giants on September 9th, driving a solo home run in the bottom of the 3rd inning against the Chunichi Dragons. The American slugger was virtually unretireable, finishing the day 2-for-2 with a home run, two RBIs, two runs scored, and two walks, reaching base in all four of his plate appearances. Dalbec’s explosive performance raised his season batting average to .253. Showing both elite power and plate discipline, Dalbec proved to be an indispensable middle-of-the-order force for the Giants.
