Jason Vosler provided an early spark for the Chunichi Dragons on September 2nd, crushing a solo home run—his 8th of the season—in the bottom of the 2nd inning against the Hiroshima Toyo Carp. Stepping into the box in the 2nd frame, Vosler turned on a pitch and sent it deep into the stands to get the offense going. Vosler finished the night 1-for-3 with a home run, an RBI, a run scored, and one strikeout, bringing his season batting average to .192. Continuing to display raw power in middle-of-the-order situations, Vosler remains a key extra-base threat for the Dragons.
