Franmil Reyes put on an absolute hitting clinic for the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters on August 28th, launching two massive home runs to power a comeback victory over the Chiba Lotte Marines. Down by a run in the bottom of the 3rd inning, Reyes stepped up and crushed a clutch three-run home run—his 28th of the season—to spark a four-run rally and flip the lead. He wasn’t finished yet, coming back in the bottom of the 5th frame to hammer a two-run shot for his 29th homer of the year. Reyes was flawless at the plate, finishing 2-for-2 with two home runs, five RBIs, two walks, two runs scored, and zero strikeouts, boosting his season batting average to a blistering .316 while closing in on the 30-homer milestone.
