Carson McCusker put together an absolute offensive masterclass for the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles on August 27th against the Orix Buffaloes, reaching the coveted 20-home-run milestone in style. McCusker set the tone early in the 1st inning with an RBI single to give Rakuten the lead. He wasn’t done yet—in the top of the 6th, he smashed a towering solo home run, his 20th of the campaign, to join the elite 20-homer club. Finishing the night 3-for-4 with three RBIs, two runs scored, and a home run, McCusker raised his season batting average to .267. Providing elite middle-of-the-order production, McCusker continues to be a driving force for the Eagles’ lineup.
