Called upon in a high-stress environment with inherited runners on base, the BayStars’ overpowering closer needed just six pitches to strike out the final batter and slam the door on Chunichi’s comeback attempt. By securing his 9th save (2W-0L-9S) and maintaining a lights-out 1.17 season ERA, Reynolds displayed ice-cold composure under pressure to lock up another hard-fought victory for Yokohama.
