NPB Inter League : Giants 5 vs 3 Fighters
Raidel Martínez endured a rocky, high-stress outing on May 30th, bending but not breaking in the bottom of the 9th inning to seal a dramatic win against the Fighters at ES CON FIELD HOKKAIDO. Working on back-to-back nights, the Giants’ closer encountered uncharacteristic command issues, issuing two costly walks and scattering a hit to face six batters in the frame. Although he surrendered one earned run and saw his season ERA climb to 2.08, Martínez showed incredible mental toughness under heavy fire. He induced the final outs to escape the jam, effectively slamming the door just in time to pocket another hard-fought victory.
