NPB Inter League : Giants 4 vs 2 Fighters
Raidel Martínez slammed the door once again on May 29th, throwing a dominant scoreless 9th inning to lock down his 14th save of the season against the Fighters. The Giants’ elite closer was in top form, needing only 15 pitches to navigate through the final frame. While he surrendered a single hit, Martínez completely overwhelmed the opposing hitters, racking up two huge strikeouts without issuing a single walk. His lethal combination of high-90s velocity and sharp breaking stuff kept the hitters completely frozen. With this flawless performance, the star right-hander kept his season ERA at a stellar 1.65, continuing to act as an unhitable firewall at the back of the Giants bullpen.
