The electric right-hander was completely unhittable, needing just 17 pitches to retire all three batters he faced in a perfect 1-2-3 frame. Armed with a lethal high-velocity fastball and sharp breaking stuff, Machado completely overwhelmed the opposition, giving them absolutely no chance to put the ball in play. With this flawless, dominant performance, he lowered his spectacular season ERA to a microscopic 1.50, further cementing his status as one of the most terrifying closers in the NPB.
