NPB Center League : Tokyo Yomiuri Giants 2 vs 3 Carp
Forrest Whitley was unhittable on April 30th, tossing six dominant, no-hit innings against the Hiroshima Carp. Although he did not factor into the decision, the Giants’ starter put on a strikeout clinic, racking up 10 punchouts using his high-octane stuff. Despite struggling with his command at times and issuing five walks, Whitley showed incredible composure to escape every jam, leaving the Carp completely hitless through his 92-pitch outing. His ERA dropped to a stellar 2.25 after this masterpiece.
