Freddy Tarnok delivered a pitch-perfect relief outing for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp on September 1st against the Chunichi Dragons. Called upon in the bottom of the 9th inning, the right-hander made quick work of the opposition, requiring just 14 pitches to retire all three batters he faced in order. Tarnok generated swing-and-miss stuff, racking up two strikeouts while allowing zero hits and zero walks. With the spotless 1-2-3 frame, Tarnok lowered his season ERA to 3.77, continuing to demonstrate high-leverage efficiency out of the Carp’s bullpen.
