Entering in the 9th inning to protect a three-run lead, the Venezuelan flamethrower showcased supreme efficiency, needing just 12 pitches to retire all three batters in order without allowing a single hit or walk. With this lights-out performance, Machado improved his personal record to 3-1 with 32 saves while maintaining a microscopic 1.09 ERA on the year. Continuing to serve as an untouchable anchor in late-game situations, Machado remains one of the premier relievers in NPB.
