NPB Central League : Giants 1 vs 0 Dragons

Raidel Martínez put on an unhittable closing display on August 14th, tossing a flawless 9th inning to capture his 31st save of the season as the Yomiuri Giants defeated the Chunichi Dragons. Entering in the final frame to lock down the victory, the towering Cuban closer needed just 12 pitches to retire all three batters he faced, racking up two strikeouts while surrendering zero hits and zero walks. By securing his 31st save (3W-3L-31S) and dropping his season ERA to a stellar 1.67, Martínez solidifies his status as one of the most dominant, untouchable firemen in NPB.
