NPB Central League: Tokyo Giants 1 vs 0 Dragons
Spencer Howard delivered a pitching masterclass on August 14th, tossing six brilliant scoreless innings with eight strikeouts to capture his 2nd victory of the season against the Chunichi Dragons. The Giants’ right-hander displayed incredible pitch efficiency on the mound, needing just 81 pitches to maneuver through 22 batters. Howard scattered only two hits while giving up a single walk and zero long balls, generating swing-and-miss stuff all night. By securing his 2nd win (2W-2L-0S) and lowering his season ERA to a lights-out 1.53, Howard provided Yomiuri with a stellar quality start at the top of the rotation.
