The CTBC Brothers of the Taiwan Professional Baseball League (CPBL) have officially announced the signing of right-handed pitcher Nick Nelson for the upcoming season.
Nelson joins the Brothers after a successful stint with the Hanshin Tigers in 2025. In his single season in Japan, he established himself as a dominant force in the bullpen, posting a stellar 1.93 ERA over 23 appearances. He was particularly noted for his incredible streak of 13 consecutive scoreless outings.
While Nelson was highly valued for his performance on the mound, he became a free agent after failing to reach an agreement on contract terms with Hanshin. He now heads to Taiwan to bolster the pitching staff of the defending CPBL champions.
