The Chicago White Sox have signed left-handed pitcher Anthony Kay to a two-year, $12 million (approx. 1.8 billion yen) contract. The deal also includes a mutual option for the 2028 season.
Kay returns to the Major Leagues after a dominant two-year stint with the Yokohama DeNA BayStars, where his stock rose significantly. In 2025, he delivered a career-best performance, posting a 1.74 ERA—setting a new franchise record—and leading the league with a 57.8% ground-ball rate.
