The Yokohama DeNA BayStars announced that they have reached an agreement with pitcher Jon Duplantier for the 2026 season.
Born on July 11, 1994, in Delaware, U.S., the Rice University product was a third-round pick by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2016. He made his Major League debut in 2019, appearing in 19 MLB games throughout his career.
In his first year in Japan in 2025, Duplantier was exceptional for the Hanshin Tigers. He appeared in 15 games, recording six wins and three losses with a stellar 1.39 ERA.
