NPB Center League : Tokyo Yomiuri Giants
Yomiuri Giants pitcher Foster Griffin has been declared a free agent.
In his third season, the left-hander posted strong numbers over 14 appearances, recording six wins against one loss with an excellent 1.62 ERA. He returned to the United States on October 4 to focus on treatment for his right knee injury.
The left-hander tallied 18 total wins over his three seasons, registering six wins each year. He is expected to now pursue a return to Major League Baseball.
